LSU-Alabama Winner Foretold By Presidential Election Results?

Louisiana certainly has a lot of things to keep its eye on this week. Today, November 5th, we'll be watching the polls as Americans cast their vote for President of the United States and members of Congress.

Meanwhile, we're watching coastal areas of Louisiana from Grand Isle to Cameron with concerns about an approaching tropical weather system. And then, we've got a college football game with major implications happening in Baton Rouge on Saturday night.

It is no wonder we drink, right?

Oddly enough, two of those three things have an interesting connection to each other. The third, the tropical weather scenario is just an odd November storm. We don't mean to sound dismissive about Tropical Storm Rafael but all indications are that the system will weaken considerably before it reaches the northern Gulf Coast, if it reaches the northern Gulf Coast at all.

So obviously the two things that have a common bond are LSU vs Alabama in football and the outcome of the United States Presidential Election. As luck would have it both events usually take place in November. Such is the case this year. Today, November 5th we vote. Saturday, November 9th LSU and Alabama will kickoff in Tiger Stadium.
