LoveWorks Owner Announces Retirement After 35 Years

LAFAYETTE, La. (KMDL-FM) - Another well-known local business is preparing to close later this year.

LoveWorks Celebrates 35 Years in Lafayette

We received the following note from LoveWorks owner Clarissa Borel: "LoveWorks celebrates its 35th and Final Valentine’s Day. LoveWorks is closing. I am retiring!"

LoveWorks is located at 201 Westmark Boulevard, Suite D, in Lafayette. It is an adult novelty store that offers a huge selection of intimate enhancement products.

The announcement was first shared a few weeks ago. A press release was sent out announcing that, after 35 years in business, Borel had plans to retire later this year.

"When LoveWorks opened in 1991, Lafayette had nothing quite like it," said Borel in the press release. "It has truly been a blessing to operate a locally owned small business for more than three decades."

Will LoveWorks Close or Continue Online?

LoveWorks could continue operations as the store is up for sale. However, if new ownership is not secured, the physical location will close, and LoveWorks will continue operating exclusively online at loveworksonline.com.

"This has been a fun journey and a fantastic career," Borel added. "I am deeply grateful for the support of our loyal customers, current and former employees, family, friends, and community members who have supported LoveWorks throughout the years."
