Louisiana Lottery Confirms $70,000 Winner From Saturday’s Drawing

It took a while to finally confirm all of the details but it does look as if there was a big-money lottery winner in Louisiana thanks to Saturday's draw games by the Louisiana Lottery.

On Saturday the Louisiana Lottery hosts three big drawings in addition to their daily draw games. Saturday's schedule includes the multi-state Powerball drawing, the Lotto drawing, and the drawing for the Easy 5 game.

Powerball is the game that most players pay attention to not only in Louisiana but around the country. Saturday's Powerball jackpot was for an estimated top prize of $151.1 million. No tickets sold in Saturday's game matched the numbers needed to claim that top prize. But, if you'd like to check your numbers and watch the drawing, we have that for you.

You can verify and confirm your numbers via the Official Powerball website or the Louisiana Lottery website. You can even enter multiple ticket numbers if you played more than one. There were two Match 5 Millionaire tickets sold for Saturday night. Those prizes were won by tickets sold in Georgia and New Jersey. 

The largest prize claimed by a Louisiana sold ticket for Saturday's Powerball game was only $300 and only six tickets scored that amount. Tonight's Powerball jackpot will be an estimated $164 million for the annuitized jackpot. The lump sum payout is estimated to be $74.9 million.

There was no big winner in Saturday's Lotto game so that must mean the $70,000 winner came from my favorite game Easy 5 and it did. Easy 5 is the "easiest" of all the Louisiana Lottery's draw games to win.

At least the math suggests that it is easiest. Regardless the game got its second winner in 10 days. The Louisiana Lottery has confirmed an Easy 5 ticket sold in Slidell matched the numbers needed to take the game's jackpot of $70,000.

Just ten days earlier a ticket sold in Downsville Louisiana for the Easy 5 game matched the numbers needed to claim a jackpot prize of $255,111. The next Easy 5 and Lotto drawings will take place on Wednesday along with the Wednesday Powerball drawing. The Mega Millions game will be drawn on Tuesday night.
