
Louisiana ICE Agents Open Fire After Truck Attempts to Run Them Over
DERIDDER, La. - A federal immigration enforcement operation in DeRidder took a dramatic turn Wednesday when an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent reportedly fired a shot while attempting to serve a warrant.
The incident unfolded in a residential area of the Beauregard Parish city and has sparked questions from residents as authorities continue piecing together exactly what happened.
What Happened During The DeRidder ICE Operation?
According to reports from law enforcement officials and KALB, ICE agents were attempting to serve a warrant when a black and gray Ford F-150 became involved in the situation.
Authorities say the pickup truck nearly struck an ICE officer during the operation. Moments later, at least one federal agent discharged a firearm. Several nearby residents reported hearing gunfire, with some claiming they heard multiple shots.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Stewart Street and Ken Williams Street in DeRidder, Louisiana.

Suspects Reportedly Fled The Scene
Following the confrontation, officials say three individuals ran from the truck after it came to a stop.
Local police responded to the scene, but DeRidder Police Chief Craig Richard indicated that the federal agency handled the investigation.

Vehicle Seen With Apparent Bullet Damage
When KALB arrived at the scene they reportedly observed the Ford F-150 being towed away. The truck appeared to have sustained damage consistent with a gunshot strike.

At this time, authorities have not publicly disclosed how many shots were fired or whether any of the fleeing suspects have been apprehended.
Authorities have confirmed that an ICE agent fired at least one shot during the operation after a vehicle allegedly nearly struck an officer.
