LAFAYETTE, La. (KMDL-FM) - Festivals Acadiens et Créoles, one of the world's largest celebrations of Cajun and Creole music, food, and art, is taking place October 10-12, 2025, at Girard Park in Lafayette.
Now in its 51st year, the festival continues its legacy as a free, three-day celebration of Acadiana's vibrant traditions, with offerings for both locals and visitors.

Five Stages of Music: From toe-tapping Cajun fiddles to entire body-shaking rhythms of Zydeco accordions, there will be five stages of continuous live music showcasing legendary performers to rising stars.
Bayou Food Festival: The festival is a feast for all your senses. "Culture Sur la Table" will feature cooking demonstrations from local chefs, featuring dishes from rice and gravy to Cajun-Asian fusion. Food vendors throughout the park will be serving up beloved classics like gumbo, jambalaya, boudin, cracklins, and more.

Louisiana Crafts Fair: Stroll through the Louisiana Crafts Fair, where artisans display and sell handmade jewelry, textiles, woodwork, and art that show the deep cultural roots of the region.
Louisiana Sports Tent: Don't miss any of your favorite teams. Head to the sports tent and watch one of the following games:
- Saturday, October 11 - UL Ragin' Cajuns vs. James Madison Dukes (4:00 pm)
- Saturday, October 11 - South Carolina Gamecocks vs. LSU Tigers (6:45 pm)
- Sunday, October 12 - New England Patriots vs. New Orleans Saints (12:00 pm)
Festivals Acadiens et Créoles Annual Symposium: A day of music, stories, and creative energy as we explore how Louisiana's Cajun and Creole cultural movements have shaped, challenged, and metamorphosed popular culture.
The symposium will be held at the Hilliard Art Museum, located at 710 East St. Mary Boulevard on the UL campus, on Friday, October 10, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Tour de Attakapas: Get your dancing legs ready with a 5K, 10K, or the Duathlon (1.5-mile run, 2-mile paddle, 1.5-mile run). It will be held on Sunday, October 12, at 8:00 am at Girard Park. Register online or onsite at www.laTRAIL.org.
