Clearly, it's autumn in South Louisiana. Halloween is here and we want to help you in planning your kids' big night out.

Lafayette Police Department Trunk-or-Treat - This free event will take place on Thursday, October 30, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Cajun Field. Grab your costume and your treat bag, and enjoy decked-out trunks and tons of candy for a safe, fun, and free trick-or-treating experience.

St. Landry Parish Government's 4th Annual Haunted House - Three nights of thrills and chills at the Yambilee Building in Opelousas. The cost is $2 per person, and it runs from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm nightly.

Free Fun Event - Hosted by the Breaux Bridge Pentecostals, the event will take place on October 31 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There will be food and drinks, cotton candy, popcorn, and fun jumps for the kids. Located at 3454 Main Hwy in Breaux Bridge.

Boo on the Bayou - Held on Friday, October 31, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in downtown Breaux Bridge. East Bridge Street will be closed from Main Street to Washington Street. Traffic-free trick-or-treating.
