If you're a fan of watermelon during the summer months, we may have found an easier and quicker way to cut your watermelon.

I don't know about you, but anytime I have to cut watermelon, it never comes out perfect, but that may soon change after discovering this latest hack online.

Watermelon has always been my favorite treat during the summer months, and now eating it may have just become much easier.

If you have a potato chip can around your house, don't throw it because you'll need it for this hack.

The first thing you'll want to do is cut the top off of your watermelon and then press the empty chip can down into the melon. After applying pressure to the can while it is pushed down into the melon, slowly lift the can out.

The pressure applied will force a portion of the watermelon into the can, and then you can remove the portion of the melon from the can, which you can then cut into "chips."

How to Tell if Watermelon is Ripe

You want to look for the "field spot: under the watermelon. If it is dark yellow, that means the melon has been on the ground for a while, which would indicate that the melon had time to ripen.

Another way to tell if a watermelon is ripe is by knocking on it and listening for a hollow sound. A ripe melon should produce a hollow, deep sound, similar to a knock on a door.

Getting back to the chips, I'll be the first to admit, this looks way too easy, and I'll likely mess this up, but after practicing a few times, I think that I can master this for summer. So, the next time you are hosting a party and you have watermelon for guests, try this and see if this life hack eases the process.

In this video, watch as one more removes the chips and uses the can to create these watermelon chips.. Again, they make this look too easy.
