You wake up in the morning and a song inters your head, and never leaves.  You're driving and a song comes on and you can't get it out of your mind.  An ear worm will drive you crazy.  But it doesn't have too.

Psychologists at the University of Reading in England have put their massive brains together and have come up with the best way to get a song out of your head.  They say all you need is chewing gum.  Chewing gum cut down on the amount of time participants heard a song running through their heads by 33%.

Two things happen.  The chewing causes an 'inner speech' in your head.  The chewing also creates a different rhythm than the song in your head so your brain is distracted.

The experts think chewing gum can also help with other things you have on your mind and want off.  Chew gum...and let it go!
