Gueydan Man Charged In Homicide

25-year-old Aaron Saporito of Gueydan has been charged with 1 count of Second Degree Murder as deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are linking him to the stabbing death of a missing female who was found in the 500 block of Oriole Road near Midland.

Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson says she was stabbed multiple times. Deputies were called to the scene by the people at the home after the victim did not return from a wooded area with who is believed to be Saporito.

Saporito’s motive for allegedly killing her is not known at this time and the investigation remains open.

He sits in the Acadia Parish Jail.
