Fighter Jets In Lafayette?

Debbie Ray posted on Facebook this afternoon that she heard "loud" jets in the skies of Lafayette.

Earlier in the day, I received a text from a friend, asking me if I heard any word of an air show coming to Lafayette.  I responded with a "no", and he replies "Well then why were there fighter planes at LFT today?"

I don't know!!  Did you see the jets?  He said that they were twin engine, so my first guess was the F-18 Hornet.  Is this what you saw?
