Fans React to Spider-Man Reportedly Being Kicked out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Spider-Man fans have a lot of opinions on PageSix's report that the film series will no longer be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to the report, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, will not be involved in any future Spider-Man films since Disney and Sony Pictures could not agree on terms "that would have given the former a co-financing stake going forward."
Disney and Sony Pictures have been at odds in negotiations for the past few months about the future of Spider-Man and its involvement in the MCU and Feige.
Feige's Avengers: Endgame became the highest-grossing film of all time, gaining $2.7906 billion, out-grossing Avatar, who previously held the record. Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Far From Home, became the highest-grossing film for Sony Pictures as a company.
The report cited that the company has been in talks about two more films in the Spider-Man franchise, with Tom Holland as everyone's favorite Spidey, and Jon Watts directing. The company has yet to secure Watts for the next film in the installment.
