Jim Parsons Wins Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy at the 2014 Emmys
Well, no major changing of the guard here, as actor Jim Parsons tonight takes home the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series award at the 2014 Emmy Awards for his role as brilliant 'Big Bang Theory' egghead Sheldon Cooper.
Having won multiple times in previous years, Parsons' Emmy win put the actor over the likes of this year's nominees Louis C.K. of ‘Louie,' Matt LeBlanc of 'Episodes,' Don Cheadle of 'House of Lies,' William H. Macy of 'Shameless,' and Ricky Gervais of 'Derek.' The actor kept his familiar speech relatively brief, acknowledging the other nominees for their diverse work, and thanking his late father for the first time.
So, do you think Jim Parsons deserved the Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy? Would any of the other nominees have made a better fit? Tell us who you believe truly deserved the Emmy, and keep it here for all the latest news from the 2014 Emmy Awards!
