The fourth surge of COVID cases in Louisiana is showing no signs of letting up. The state health department reported nearly seven thousand new cases, 20 deaths, and 14-hundred hospitalizations statewide. Just shy of 6,800 new COVID cases were reported yesterday, the second-highest single-day total since January.

Britney Spears is expressing herself through art amid her ongoing conservatorship battle. On Tuesday, the pop superstar shared a time-lapse video of herself painting a large mural. The 1-minute video shows Britney, in an oversized T-shirt and sneakers, applying a variety of colorful paints to a large sheet of paper sprawled across her living room floor.

Kelly Clarkson is now required to pay her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock nearly $200,000 per month in spousal and child support. A Los Angeles County judge handed down the order Tuesday that Clarkson gives Blackstock $150,000 per month in spousal support, as well as $45,601 per month in child support. Blackstone will receive roughly $2.4 million a year from Clarkson. Clarkson is also responsible for paying Blackstone's legal fees, which will total $1.25 million.

Simone Biles has dropped out of the Olympic Games in Tokyo. In a statement, she said she is "dealing with some things internally." The gymnast revealed what she told her team about her withdrawal from the games, Biles told them "You have done all the training, you can do this without me and it will be just fine." Though she did not win gold, Biles told reporters that she was "proud" of how the rest of the team performed, earning second place behind the Russians.
