Ellen’s 3 Things You Should Know For 7/26/21

In Local News:

It was a violent weekend across Lafayette parish. One person was stabbed to death Friday night, just after midnight on Saturday officers were called to a “shots fired” call on the Evangeline Thruway where one person was killed. Another homicide was reported in Carencro on Saturday afternoon. And two other shootings were also reported on Saturday.

In Olympic News:

Team USA has secured 14 Olympic medals since the games opened on Friday morning in Tokyo. The team leads with 7 gold medals, 3 silver, and 4 bronze. 

Team USA has also won their first-ever fencing gold medal! Lee Kiefer, who is also a medical student at the University of Kentucky, made Team USA proud on Sunday, by not only getting the gold medal but also beating out the number 1 ranked fencer in the world from the Russian Olympic Committee. 

In Britney News:

Britney Spears and Cher might be going on vacation together! That said, it's still very, very theoretical. But the two divas were talking about it, over social media. Cher commented on a video Britney posted saying, "When #FreeBritney is FINALLY FREE, I'm Taking her to San Tropez & We’ll Eat Ice Cream To Her Hearts Content."
