East Baton Rouge Parish deputies are in search of a man who is accused of killing two people in Baker, LA, where he fled the scene of the crime with a 4-month-old baby. Eric Derell Smith is driving a blue Nissan Altima and considered to be armed and dangerous.

East Baton Rouge Parish deputies are in search of Eric Derell Smith, who is accused of shooting and killing two individuals in Baker, LA. Smith fled the scene with a 4-month-old baby in a blue Nissan Altima and is considered armed and dangerous.

According to the above reports, deputies responded to the scene where a neighbor informed them that shots had been fired inside a nearby residence. This is when the deputies found two individuals shot inside of a home.

Authorities are in search of the suspect and are prioritizing the safety of the child and the public. Anyone who may know the whereabouts of 30-year-old Eric Derell Smith is encouraged to contact the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, but authorities want to make it clear to not approach or attempt to make contact with him.
