If you haven't seen the latest COVID-19 rules California Governor Gavin Newsom has issued for Thanksgiving, you're in for a real treat.

As we head into the Thanksgiving holidays, the Governor of California apparently wants to ruin it. Actually, it's way more than that. It's on a level I'm having a tough time finding words for that aren't...foul.

Gov. Newsom is literally telling people where they can have their family Thanksgiving, who they can invite, how loud they can sing or "chant" and even where they can use the bathroom y'all.

He's telling Californians they have to have to hold Holiday gatherings "must be held outside".

He's telling Californians gatherings need to be kept to two hours or less.

He's telling Californians that during their Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings that if anyone needs to use the bathroom they "may go inside to use restrooms as long as the restrooms are frequently sanitized."

I called my brother who lives in Santa Clarita, Ca last night to get his take on all of this. I can't repeat what he said because I don't want to get fired, but he did make it clear he's not happy about all of this and that he's "plotting his exit from this stupid state".

Below are a few highlights of Gov. Newsom's Thanksgiving Holiday rules posted by dailysignal.com.

"Gatherings may occur in outdoor spaces that are covered by umbrellas, canopies, awnings, roofs, and other shade structures provided that at least three sides of the space (or 75%) are open to the outdoors.

Gatherings that include more than 3 households are prohibited.

As much as possible, any food or beverages at outdoor gatherings must be in single-serve disposable containers. If providing single-serve containers is not possible, food and beverages must be served by a person who washes or sanitizes their hands frequently, and wears a face covering.

Attendees may go inside to use restrooms as long as the restrooms are frequently sanitized.

Gatherings should be two hours or less.

The host should collect names of all attendees and contact information in case contact tracing is needed later.

Seating must provide at least 6 feet of distance (in all directions—front-to-back and side-to-side) between different households.

Singing, chanting, shouting, and physical exertion significantly increases the risk of COVID-19 transmission because these activities increase the release of respiratory droplets and fine aerosols into the air."
