(Lafayette, Louisiana) - Boosie was in Lafayette this week to promote his upcoming "Boosie Bash" at the Cajundome, and he made a few stops along the way while in Lafayette.

Aside from visiting a few media outlets in the city to promote his upcoming show, Boosie also stopped at Northside High School to address the student body.

Well, as we previously reported here, Northside Principal James Rollins was put on administrative leave after Boosie's visit to the school.

The announcement has gone viral on social media, and several media outlets outside of the state have picked up the story. While there have been mixed reactions to the news about Mr. Rollins, many seem to be asking why he was put on leave by the Lafayette Parish School System.

I was waiting for word to get back to Boosie, and it has. Now the Baton Rouge rapper is pleading for the school district to let Rollins return to work, as Boosie explained, he was invited to the school by the principal to express positive words.

Why Boosie Visited Northside High in Lafayette

No, Boosie did not perform while at Northside High, and as you will hear below, he was there to encourage kids to do well and to make the right decisions. According to reports in various media outlets, Principal Rollins may have violated school district policy regarding guests on campus, as he reportedly did not obtain permission from the school district to have the rapper visit the campus this week.

Also on this day, a proclamation was issued in Opelousas for an upcoming "Boosie Day," as the artist was a vital part of the city's entertainment for many years.
