Boat Crash kills Two Louisiana Men

Two men were killed Thursday (Sept. 5th) afternoon in a boating accident on the Amite River. KATC reports  29-year-old Dustin Gore of St. Amant and 27-year-old Trent Kelly of Baton Rouge were killed when their boat struck a fallen tree.

An unidentified 23-year-old woman reportedly called Wildlife & Fisheries to report the accident about 5:30 pm on Thursday. She clung to the wrecked boat, wearing a life vest 'til a passer-by rescued her.
