Rebekah Vicknair was the pedestrian hit by a vehicle back on Oct 22, 2016, while crossing Highway 90. She has been hospitalized in ICU since she was injured, listed in critical condition, but improving daily. Her family and friends have organized several things to help Rebekah, her fiancee Jerry, and their 2 1/2 year old daughter Jaedyn. Her Mother Jamie Curtin, has set up a local benefits account at Mid South bank for Jerry and Jaedyn to make sure they get everything they need to cover the bills they have coming in now and any other bills that may follow. A replenishment blood drive is set for Dec. 10, 2016 at Super 1 Foods in New Iberia from 10 AM to 1:30 PM. Rebekah was a blood donor herself, and now she is on the receiving end. Today they was able to put pins and plates in the back of her pelvis, and fixed her left leg. I don't know what tomorrow holds but she is a fighter.
