Bear Spotted Taking a Swim in Gulf of America
As many of us in Louisiana prepare for our visit to the beach this summer, one black bear had the same trip in mind as it hopped into the waters of the Gulf.
School is out, and families from across Louisiana will soon be heading to the beaches along the Gulf Coast, many of whom will retreat into the water to cool off. While we are often looking out for jellyfish and sharks, we may have to keep an eye out for BEARS too.
Yes, bears have been known to show up on the shore, and this time we have video of a bear swimming in the Gulf. Like you and me, apparently it too needs to cool down, and this bear took advantage of its location and got a quick swim in.
According to a viral video post on social media, a bear got into the water near Naples, Florida. Although it's far from some of our favorite beach destinations, we've had reports of wildlife sightings on the beaches of Destin and Navarre.

So, if you're going to be on the beach this summer, be aware of potential dangers like sharks and other marine life, but also note that you could come across a few four-legged animals that are looking for food and ways to cool down this summer.
Here's the bear in the Gulf enjoying the waves.
