Welcome to the new year, y'all! We survived the Mayan Apocalypse, went to our office holiday parties without going totally nuts and witnessed Kathy Griffin trying to get in Anderson Cooper's pants. We're still trying to get that image out of our brains. Regardless, we made it to January, and that's pretty impressive.

It's hard to believe 2012 is coming to an end, and we're gearing up for another year of photobombing, pranking and costuming our pets.  We have a feeling 2013 will bring even more hilarity and entertainment, so ringing in the new year is definitely a cause for celebration. This usually involves party hats, tons of noisemakers and a bit of prep, like any sort of holiday.

It's true the holidays are easily the greatest time of year, but it can also be the most exhausting. After so much preparation, it sort of feels like we want to nap for weeks. It also doesn't help that we ate our weight in ham and stuffing and chocolate, so we're currently nursing a major food hangover. But it's time to rally, people! Contrary to popular belief, photobombing is super hard, and it requires a lot of skill. For starters, you have to get the timing down perfectly and do it so no one posing actually notices your moves leading up to the photobomb.

There's something about the holidays that puts a lot of us here at TheFW into extra crafty moods. Maybe it's all those awesome Etsy decorations we so wish we could copy or just the fact we're feeling particularly festive this time of year. Either way, trying to get all creatively crafty is just plain old fun.

The holiday season is easily the greatest time of year, mostly because good moods are abundant and we get to eat tons and tons of cookies. While we're huge fans of Christmastime, it does require a lot of prep. Between the endless cooking and gift shopping, stress can build up pretty quickly, and that brings nothing but bad moods and muddled minds.

If there's one thing you need to know about us here at TheFW, it's that we love to find any excuse to dress up animals. This is especially true during the holiday season, because festive puppies and cats are like, the best things ever.

Little kids are the best. They're pro photobombers and make super weird raps about McDonald's, and that's just scratching the surface. But munchkins can also be the worst. Don't get us wrong-- their adorableness usually overrides any of those 'tudes they try and pull, and you know how we're suckers for anything remotely adorable. One of the best parts about the holiday season is when Santa comes to town for a visit. Every single year, he makes his rounds to American shopping malls so little kids (and adults-- we’re guilty) can have an up-close-and-personal gift-begging session with the guy...

Remember that 'trust fall' game you used to play as a kid? Man, that was scary. In elementary school, it was the game we used to distinguish who the trustworthy friends were and who stunk.

Aside from being ridiculously adorable, our pets offer up some pretty funny entertainment. For starters, they casually hang out for photo shoots and sneeze to the beat of Dubstep. Basically, if there's a cute behavior to be documented, you can be sure we're on it!

Few things brighten our day more than puppies. They're troopers when it comes to adorably tortuous makeovers, after all. OK, so they might not be superfans of unfortunate haircuts or miniature shoes. But we've discovered something dogs really enjoy-- celebrating their birthdays. We've said this before, and we'll say it again-- puppies and kids are a match made in adorable heaven, especially when they're playing together. How do they pull it off? We have no idea, nor are we questioning.

A few weeks back, a tiny baby burrito kicked off our craving for kids dressed in food costumes. (Not for actual baby. We're not zombies or anything.) It’s such a simple concept, yet it yields such hilarious results. Talk about Halloween genius at its finest. Luckily, we can continue laughing and aww-ing over miniature tasty attire, thanks to the ‘Babies in Food Costumes’ Tumblr.

Last weekend, a bunch of celebrities gathered at New York’s Beacon Theatre for 'Night of Too Many Stars: America Comes Together for Autism Programs.' The event helps support autism programs across the US, and what drives the impressive fundraising are the celebrities in attendance. These included Amy Poehler, Stephen Colbert, Carly Rae Jepsen, and host Jon Stewart.

There’s a large chance we have just discovered the world’s cutest animal. Emma is a miniature donkey ... a miniature donkey with a pink prosthetic leg. D'awww!

Isn’t ice cream the best? We snag a scoop of Chunky Monkey or Mint Chocolate Cookie Dough and BAM! Our worries of the world are gone. It’s sugar magic at its finest. Even better is when kids get a hold of the tasty treat-- they’re in pure adorable bliss!
