Airlines Cut Fares For People Fleeing Hurricane Irma
We've all heard reports of price gouging in the wake of major disasters. The Texas attorney general's office has been flooded with complaints following Hurricane Harvey. We've all heard, and, in some cases, lived air travel nightmare scenarios. Here's some good news. CNN reports, major airlines are drastically cutting fares for people trying to escape Hurricane Irma. American Airlines, with a major hub in Miami, is discounting main cabin seats for one leg flights to $99.00. Delta is capping flights to and from the Caribbean at$399.00.That includes first class. Jet Blue is offering fares between $99.00 & $159.00 in "select markets." The discounts will remain in effect 'til Wednesday, September 13th.
