Jerod Prunty Resigns As Aide To Congressman Clay Higgins

According to Andrew David, Communications Director for Rep. Clay Higgins, the Congressman accepted Jerod Prunty's resignation earlier this week and is no longer with Higgins' office.

An aide to Congressman Clay Higgins, 47-year-old Jerod Prunty, was arrested last week.

Prunty was booked on two counts of pandering in the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office sting operation into alleged prostitution as some spas and massage parlors in our area.

Higgins has been quoted as saying, "We are shocked and saddened to learn of allegations against Jerod."

He said his congressional office will fully cooperate with any investigations into the situation.
