Advice to Anyone Thinking of Moving to Lafayette
An out-of-towner posted on the r/Acadiana subreddit, asking for advice on moving to Lafayette.
The responses were varied and contained pills that were hard to swallow. One of the responses contained links covering the "Brain Drain" that Louisiana is experiencing. Others mentioned racism, poor education, a lack of scenery, poor economy, and the "Good Ol' Boy" network.
On the plus side of moving here, it appears that the "Food" category tops the list. Followed by the friendliness of the people, the festivals/nightlife/music, and the beauty of the area.
