Abbeville Police Arrest 1 in Shooting; Alleged Shooter Still on the Loose
22-year-old Bradley Broussard of Abbeville has been arrested for his alleged role in the shooting of a male victim over the weekend but Abbeville Police say the alleged shooter is still on the loose.
According to a press release from Abbeville PD, officers responded to the area of East Oak Street and North Bailey Street in reference to a “Shots Fired” call on April 9th.
Broussard was arrested on the following charges:
- Principal to Illegal Use of Weapons
- Obstruction of Justice
He has been transported to the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center.
27-year-old Jaylin Veney of Abbeville is accused of pulling the trigger, though, as police continue to look for him. Veney has an outstanding warrant for the following charges:
- Attempted 2nd Degree Murder
- Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of Certain Felonies
