A Few Thoughts for UL Graduates

It seemed like this day would never come- for students and parents alike! College graduation. Parking's going to be difficult at the Cajundome, but it's just one more hurdle in the race for that diploma! Unlike, Michelle Obama, Katie Couric and Jane Lynch, I haven't been asked to do a commencement address, but here are just a few of my thoughts about what you've been through and where you're headed...

Someday when your job is overwhelming, think back to the night you stayed up all night studying for that Zoology exam. You'll survive your crazy boss, just like you survived that exam.

When you're stuck in traffic, late for a meeting or an appointment, think back to the days when you had to slosh across the parking lot at Cajun Field, or the day when you were up to your ankles leaving the Union by Cypress Swamp.

When your favorite professional football team has let you down, think back to that magical night in New Orleans when the Ragin Cajuns won the  New Orleans Bowl!
