The New Orleans Saints are in uncharted waters. No NFL head coach has ever been suspended for an entire season.

Speculation is rampant that Sean Payton has asked coaching legend Bill Parcells to step in and coach the Saints in his abscence. Payton served as a Parcells assistant for three years before Joining the Saints in 2006. Parcells is the only coach in NFL history to take four different teams to the playoffs. Parcells says he hasn't been contacted by the Saints' organization.

Meanwhile, what does Sean do with a year off from coaching? His suspension doesn't take effect until Sunday. He's currently attending the NFL Owners meetings in Florida.

There are reports he's been contacted by Fox Sports
