Everything comes from somewhere. Great art is usually inspired by, or stolen from (depending on your perspective) that of someone who came before. When I listen to Coldplay, I hear the influences of U2 & the Beatles. Stevie Ray Vaughn was very heavily influenced by Jimi Hendrix.
