When the cashier behind the counter at Walgreens would say to me, 'Welcome To Walgreens' I used to feel special, but not anymore.

Here's the deal, when you walk into a store where the employees salute you like Subway, Walmart or Walgreens, it's really nice when they personally welcome you.  When the sliding doors open and you enter the building, it's nice that someone acknowledges you as you pass them by to go deeper into the store to shop.  Until that one time you don't go deep into the building because what you need is located close to the checkout counter, like Christmas cards.

Tonight as I stood amidst the hundreds of Christmas cards, I needed to find several with fitting verbiage for the people they were for, so a little concentration was needed.  Selecting a Christmas card for someone is very important to me.

After standing in the card aisle for about four minutes, I quickly realized that, that 'Welcome To Walgreens' thing wasn't just for me.  Do you have any idea how many people walk into Walgreens every five minutes?  A LOT!  It was virtually impossible to concentrate.

How tired must those poor employees get, having to say that line every time those doors opens.  And now they have to tell us to, 'Be Well'.  Combined with the Salvation Army greeter outside, I felt like I was at a family reunion where everyone got along.
