UL Student Allexus Dronet Is On Her Way To MD Anderson [UPDATE]

UL student Allexus Dronet and her family are on their way to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.

Allexus Dronet was part of the UL summer Study Abroad Program.  She arrived in Florence, Italy a few weeks ago with her class.  She had back pain and went to the hospital.  Within a few days Allexus fell very ill and ultimately was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia.

Allexus is on her way to MD Anderson Hospital in Houston!  She checked out of the foreign hospital this morning and is flying to Frankfurt and then to Houston. She has a physician from Chicago accompanying her throughout the flight. She is being flown in business class and will have a driver waiting to take her, the physician, and her parents directly to MD Anderson when they arrive this evening. All transfer documents are in order and she will immediately admitted there as a transfer patient
