It was about a month ago when an incident on an American Airlines flight captivated the attention of the world really.

A woman can be seen in a video on an American Airlines flight saying, "that ...... man is not real" along with a stream of profanities.

Since the video surfaced, the woman has been identified as 38-year-old marketing executive Tiffany Gomas. Gomas has now made an apology for "not controlling her emotions". She says her actions were "completely unacceptable".

She also apologized to everyone on the plane for the profanity, and especially to the parents for using those words.

Gomas says she is so very grateful for the support shown to her by her family and friends. She says her life's worst moment happened to be captured on video. She says some of the things she saw about herself, like memes, were funny, but that some other things were very hurtful.

Here is Gomas in the video:

The plane eventually went back to the gate. Everyone had to get off the plane and be rescreened before they were able to get back on the plane. Some reports say Gomas tried to get back on the plane while other reports say the woman got in an Uber and left the airport immediately.

Here is one of her most powerful comments in the apology,

"I hope that you guys can accept my apology, and I can begin to move on with my life."

Gomas says she really is hoping that people will now let her focus on her future. Yesterday it was noted there is now a tiffanygomas.com website. Her apology is posted there with the phrase, "Stay tuned".
