Temp Below 80 F? Let’s Make Gumbo

One of the good things about driving a Jeep is being able to smell all of the beautiful aromas when you are on the road. Honeysuckle, fresh-cut grass, and the unmistakable smell of someone cooking a roux!

Some friends and I went on a fishing excursion in the gulf this morning, and when we got back to the dock, there was a text from my friend that said "Saints and gumbo, my house!" Well, it doesn't take much more convincing than that!

While I was enjoying my second bowl, I was scrolling through Facebook and my friend Jason (real friend, not just FB friend!) had posted this status:

I am sure that there were many pots of brown deliciousness bubbling all over Acadiana this afternoon!
