Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens Thank New Orleans With Gift To Police Department
Ten Super Bowls have been played in New Orleans. That ties the Crescent City with Miami for the most Super Bowls held in a given city. The Big Easy is campaigning for an eleventh.
Louisiana, in general has a great reputation for its hospitality and delicious food. The Baltimore Ravens, winners of last month’s Super Bowl XLVII are apparently very appreciative of the welcome they received in the City that Care Forgot.
They received 24/7 security protection, and police escorts everywhere they went, courtesy of N.O.P.D. They’ve shown their appreciation by donating two new Harley Davidson motorcycles to the New Orleans Police Department Traffic Division.
Ravens’ owner Steve Bisciotti says the Ravens wanted “to show our appreciation for how well our team, our families and our fans were treated by everyone representing New Orleans.”
The presentation was made by New Orleans native, Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones.
I’ve been to a couple playoff games in the Superdome. I’d sure love to see the Saints play a Super Bowl there!
