Parking on the UL Lafayette campus has been problematic for years, to say the least. Students and faculty will soon have some relief. The Advocate reports the university's new 21.7 million dollar parking garage is about to open. The 6 story Girard Park Circle facility will make more than 1,000 new spaces available. More than 500 spaces on the top 3 floors will be reserved for students and faculty to purchase a semester pass for $250. Summer passes will be available for $100. The bottom 3 levels will be available on a pay as you go basis. The facility will reportedly be very will lit, with 60 security cameras.
