I'm very proud of my work here at 99.9 KTDY, and I think we play great music. I hope you do, too. A TV interviewer once asked what kinds of music I like to listen to. I laughingly replied "music I don't play on the radio." When we go on the air, we're not here to entertain ourselves. Three of my ''favs" of the past year are songs we play on KTDY. Two aren't.

I chose this song, not having seen the video. The "vid" raises a question that often occurs to me... "Do we Americans have any idea what's going on in the world, or are we just watching TV?"

#3 Hozier: "Take Me To Church"   The line "I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife" resonates with me. Why don't people mind their own business? If you haven't seen this video, be forewarned. The images get a little rough...

#1 Joe Bonamassa; "Different Shades of Blue

I discovered, and fell in love with the blues through a "reverse engineering" of musical history. When I realized British Rock 'n Roll was American blues on steroids, I started researching its rich heritage. Joe's been at it since childhood. He opened for BB King at age 12. Several of his albums have topped Billboard's Blues Chart.
