The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a house party in Leonville that led to three arrests and two ER visits.

Sheriff's spokesperson Maj. Eddie Thibodeaux reported Leonville couple Bobby and Connie Johnston hosted a party at their home following the St. Landry Football Jamboree.

The couple collected a five-dollar admission fee for each driver and a three-dollar fee for each passenger in attendance. Another suspect, 23-year-old Adam Meche, of Arnaudville, admitted to collecting the admission fees.Bobby Johnston said the fee was used to pay the party's DJ. Investigators found that there was no DJ present.

At the party, approximately 300 guests between the ages of 14 and 23 attended.

According to Connie Johnston, a fight broke out around 1:30 a.m. The fight led to two juveniles requiring medical treatment. One teen suffered a broken jaw which required surgery. Another teen needed stitches following hte fight.

Additional arrest and charges are forthcoming for second-degree battery and simple robbery committed at the party.

“Misinformation is being spread about this case saying it was a school against school fight," said Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.  "My investigators have informed me that the group that started the fight was not from one single school.  The group consisted of students from Beau Chene, Opelousas High, North Central, and local youth from the area."
