St. Jude Benefit At Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel

The 5th Annual "Danielle's Rhythm & Blues Dance & Auction will be held Sunday, November 10th at Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel, raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, featuring live performances by Geno Delafose, Percy Sledge, Marc Broussard and more!

Danielle LeCompte of New Iberia is a 13 year-old girl who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain stem tumor in February of 2009.  Danielle's parents chose St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis to provide treatment for Danielle, which included 31 radiation treatments over a 6 week period.  In the past four years, with check-ups every 3 months, all have shown that there has been no growth of her tumor!

While at St. Jude's, the hospital not only provided the treatment for Danielle's condition, but they also housed Danielle and her parents and helped provide food and other necessities while there.  The family met many helpful and humble nurses, doctors and families who all contributed to helping keep their spirits high, and now they want to continue to give back, so that St. Jude's can continue to provide the same care and compassion to other families.
