Yesterday, we broke the news that Rihanna was feeling under the weather, as the ‘We Found Love’ singer tweeted a photo of her slender arm hooked up to an IV. It turns out that the singer was on an IV since she has come down with a case of the flu, which forced her to cancel her planned Halloween performance in Malmo, Sweden.

There’s nothing nastier and more draining than a case of the flu; it’s magnified and exacerbated when you are on tour and far, far away from home! Poor RiR! TMZ reports that a Live Nation rep said the concert was canceled because RiRi was “not in condition to conduct the concert.”

The singer also released her own statement about bowing out, saying, “I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo [Sweden]. I was so excited to perform for you all. It would have been a great time … So much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I’m really disappointed I couldn’t be there.”

We feel RiRi’s pain! We don’t like to do anything but sleep when we have the flu, so we totally get why she wouldn’t want to, you know, get on stage, wear her costumes, run around and sing and dance! If she rests, she’ll get better quicker. Tea, toast and rest should ensure that RiRi is all better sooner than later. She has lots and lots of shows in her future, as ‘Talk That Talk’ drops later this month.
