The other phase of tier 1a includes expanded South End seating at Cajun field (pictured), as well as amenity expansion.
The last phase of tier 1a includes a new athletic practice facility that will include the home football locker room, strength training, central equipment, central athletic training, coaches office, and a replacement of the indoor turf currently being used in the Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility.
Tier 1b includes the renovation and expansion of M.L. “Tigue” Moore field (pictured), as well as the remaining improvements to Cajun Field, which will include a sports plaza.
The plaza (pictured) will be located where the current Cox Communications Athletic Center (which will eventually be torn down after the new athletic practice facility is built) is. It will be a gathering point for student athletes, students, fans, and anyone who loves the culture that is Ragin’ Cajuns athletics. It will be a gathering point for many activities.
