Proposed Cajundome Renovations Nearly 3 Million Over Budget

Proposed renovations to the Cajundome will reportedly cost nearly $3 million dollars more than the budget of $16 million. The plan calls for construction of a club level, renovations to parking areas, new 100 level seating, and office renovations.

KATC reports commission members were informed the prospective cost overruns at Monday's meeting. Cajundome director Greg Davis says it could result in delaying portions of the project. The renovations are to be funded by the sale of bonds underwritten by state hotel taxes.
