Today is Peter Gabriel's birthday; he turns 64.

Here's what Peter Gabriel looked like in 1973.

It's going to happen to all of us - we're going to get older, if we're lucky.  Someone once said that youth is wasted on the young.  I wonder what would happen to brilliant people like Peter Gabriel if, at his age, he was gifted with youth again.  Imagine how much more great music he'd produce!

Anyway, here's a recent picture of Peter Gabriel.

I've been a fan of his ever since his days with Genesis, and have a few favorites.  Some of these received national air time; others known only by fans!

"Dont' Give Up", a duet with Kate Bush, is a great song with a video that makes me, well, let's say "slightly uncomfortable" and leave it at that.

"In Your Eyes" was featured in the motion picture "Say Anything".

"I Know What I Like" by Gabriel-led Genesis, 1973.

"Solsbury Hill" - I just like the way this song flows.

"Mercy Street", from his "So" album, got me through some hard times while I was stationed in Germany during my time in the Army.

And, finally, here's "Don't Give Up" again, this time he does it live with Paula Cole.

And, the Best New Age Album Grammy-winner in 1990, here is the soundtrack to Passion: The Last Temptation of Christ.

Happy birthday, Peter Gabriel.  I hope you continue to make great music for years to come!
