Sean Payton Tight-Lipped About Rob Ryan’s Future With Saints

I watched Saints' head coach Sean Payton's 'Black Monday" press conference until the questions became repetitive. He was characteristically tight-lipped about the future of defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. The coach had just come from a team meeting and said he would meet with veteran players after the presser. He made some general statements, saying today is the beginning of a thorough evaluation of every aspect of the team's 2014 season.

The Times Picayune reported, defensive backs coach Wesley McGriff is leaving the team to accept a position as defensive coordinator with Vanderbilt University. Coach Payton said he's unaware of any such decision. When asked about specific personnel moves, Payton replied, "Now's not the time to discuss a player, a coach, or his future."
