The latest LSWA high school football polls were released on Tuesday, and for the second-consecutive week, nine teams from the Acadiana area appear in the top ten in the respective polls, as we head into the fifth week of the 2013 season.

In class 5A, Acadiana is up one spot, to number four this week, following their 27-7 win over Lafayette High last week, while New Iberia is among others also receiving votes.

St. Thomas More stays at number three this week in the 4A poll, while Teurlings Catholic is up one spot, from ninth to eighth, with Eunice, Breaux Bridge, St. Martinville, and Rayne also receiving votes.

Notre Dame, at number three, and Kaplan, in a tie for tenth, highlight the 3A poll, with no other Acadiana area schools getting any votes.

In the class 2A poll, Loreauville checks in at number four, while Catholic-New Iberia sits at number seven, with Lake Arthur also getting votes.

Finally, in the class A poll, Vermilion Catholic is third, with Basile coming in at number four this week. Highland Baptist and Hanson are among others also getting votes.
