New York Marathon Cancelled

According to a report by NBC 4 New York, Mayor Bloomberg says that the New York Marathon has been cancelled.

Due to a backlash from his statement that the race would go on, and despite his claim that the race would not pull resources from recovery efforts, Mayor Bloomberg cancelled the race and said that he did not want a "cloud" to hang over the marathon or the runners.
