Well kids, here's the skinny, the majority of parents lie.  So just when you thought you got one over on them, the shoe may have been on the other foot.

It's a fact, the vast majority of parents admit to telling white lies in order to make their children behave.  The most popular fib, used by almost 40% of parents, is the story of the tooth fairy.  Other lies include calling boring foods by exciting names to force kids to eat them, changing the clocks to get children to bed earlier and spelling out words instead of saying them.  Parents have even told their children they'd be washed down the plughole if they stayed in the bathtub too long.

Some 90 per cent of parents have a list of creative tales they tell to their little ones.  What other white lies you've used?
