Louisiana Fire Chief Injured in Accident Involving Firetruck

A fire chief in South Louisiana was injured in an accident after responding to a mutual aid call.

The Louisiana State Firemen's Association posted this photo on social media after the Fire Chief for Cankton Fire VFD was involved in a crash Wednesday evening.

The Scott Fire Department reported on social media that Chief Ervin Menard was involved in this crash after assisting the Carencro FD with a structure fire.

Chief Menard was reportedly banged up in the crash but should be okay, according to the social media post.

There was no word on what may have caused this crash, but we wish Chief Menard a speedy recovery.
