Local Pastor To Host ‘Holy Smokers’ On Discovery Network

We love our barbecue here in South Louisiana. Motorcycles are pretty popular here, too. You can ride virtually all year. Rowdy Daigle is the pastor of Freedom Biker Church, here in Lafayette. He's also Chaplain for the Cajun Harley Davidson Harley Owners Group.

KATC reports Loud Television has chosen him to host a pilot for a new show called, "Holy Smokers." The pilot will air next May on Discovery Network's "Destination America."
Filming was done at  St. Nicholas BBQFest in Conway, South Carolina.  The program will center on the tradition of classic church cook-offs, and feature handpicked teams from churches in various states. I can't wait to see it. Maybe I'll pick up a few pointers... and a little inspiration.
