DOTD announces lane closure on University Avenue for traffic signal replacement

 LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that La. 182 (University Avenue) eastbound will be reduced to one lane on Tuesday, May 28, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., in order to allow crews to replace a traffic signal. The closure will take place on La. 182 between Coolidge Street and Pinhook Road in Lafayette, weather permitting.

Permit loads are restricted to 12 feet in width, and emergency vehicles will have access to the area.  No detour is necessary for this work, but motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
