Umpires Needed For Local High School Softball Games

Umpires are needed to call games for the upcoming high school softball seasons. The Lafayette- Acadiana Softball Officials Association are looking for people to help with the 2015 softball season.

The association services high schools in the Lafayette, Acadia, Evangeline, St. Landry, St. Martin, Iberia, St. Mary, and Vermilion parishes.

No prior umpiring experience is required but some knowledge of the game of softball is preferred. You must be 18 years old and pay the $50 dues to register for the association.

The deadline to register and pay dues is January 8, 2015. The LASOA will hold a registration night on Sunday, January 4 from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Teche Electric Lodge on Eraste Landry Road, here you can fill out your registration forms, pay dues, and meet with fellow umpires.
