Temperatures are warming up in Louisiana and with that comes a few unwelcome guests in your home or office.

For weeks we have been battling gnats at home, in the office, and our vehicles, but there is one way to rid them of your space by putting together a concoction.

I recently stumbled upon a post on social media and it suggested putting a few things together in a cup if you need to catch gnats or flies in your home. Well, we have reached the point at home that I am willing to try anything.

So, take a look at what you can put into a cup at home, or in the office if you want to rid the place of these annoying insects.

According to the social media post I came across you should use the following for the mixture that you plan to place in your home, office, or patio.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup vinegar.
1/2 cup olive oil (or other vegetable oil).
1/2 cup shampoo.
To make it:
1. Mix half a cup of vinegar, half a cup of olive oil, and half a cup of shampoo together.
2. Place the bowl in the kitchen and wait for bugs to flock to it. Leave the mixture out for a couple of hours or until you feel the insects have been caught.
3. Repeat if necessary.
With much warmer days ahead and more insects showing up across the area, this may be worth the try. After all, what do we have to lose here?
Pesky insects can be not only annoying but also embarrassing when you have guests over, so capturing as many as you can with this mixture may save you from the embarrassment or may save you time from chasing and swatting at them.
Try this in the days or weeks ahead and let us know if this helped.
